Valia Oliver is a painter with over 45 years experience painting, making ceramics and sculpture. The artist earned her MFA from SUNY Buffalo in 1986. A BFA in painting was completed from the Memphis College of Art in 1977. She has taught for over 30 years at the higher education level.
